Autism Spectrum

"Positive Partnerships was developed out of the need to improve the educational outcomes for school-aged children with autism spectrum disorders (ASD). Autism Spectrum Australia (Aspect, as lead agency of the Australian Autism Education & Training Consortium (AAETC)), chose Workstar to design and deliver an eLearning solution for teachers, schools, parents and carers  through the Positive Partnerships program. The Positive Partnerships program is funded by the Department of Education, Employment and Workplace Relations(DEEWR), as part of the Australian  Government’s Helping Children with Autism initiative. Workstar created an online community to aid with professional development of teachers and developed interactive, self-paced learning modules for parents and carers to help them engage with their child's school to improve learning outcomes.  In an industry first, Workstar also developed innovative discussion boards for teachers to help them share information about working with students with an ASD. Within 12 months of launching the learning solution we have  10,000 registered users and the success of Positive Partnerships is due, in no small part, to the functionality and quality of the modules developed by Workstar. The team at Workstar immersed themselves in the subject material and this is highlighted by the quality feedback we continue to receive from end users. Aspect and the AAETC looks forward to continuing its strong working relationship with Workstar in the future as we continue find solutions to improve the lives of people with autism and  their families."

Elizabeth Arden

In 2007 Elizabeth Arden Australia partnered with Workstar to create Arden Access a web-based learning and e-communications development platform to generate, deliver, track, assess and manage the flow of specialised staff training and information to our 500 beauty consultants and support staff. All of our team now have access to learning and communication 24/7 and all new staff complete the induction module before starting on the counter.

As a result of moving our training online we have experienced a 35% reduction in customer service training costs. Our on-line training modules have saved the business the equivalent of 300 days of on-the-floor sales. The value of Arden Access was proven when it won ‘Best Employee Induction Training Program’ at the 2009 LearnX Asia Pacific eLearning and Training Awards. This award focuses on an employee induction training program that has had a significant positive impact on workforce performance.
The strength of Workstar is their understanding of the wants, needs and habits of the end user. They find solutions to meet these challenges by forging a strong working relationship with the client and really understanding the aspirations and the reality of their business. This level of interaction is rare and provides the base for a very successful working relationship.
